Vilamoura, located on Portugal’s Algarve coast, merges ancient and modern influences. Once a Roman settlement, it still reveals traces of its past at sites like the Cerro da Vila ruins, showcasing remains of Roman baths, mosaics, and a former trading port. For centuries, it was a quiet fishing village. In the 1970s, it transformed into one of Portugal’s most luxurious resort towns. Today, Vilamoura is famed for its world-class marina, championship golf courses, and stunning beaches. Its rich history adds depth to its modern charm. Sharing our trip to Vilamoura Portugal.
