Hi We're Avanel and Raun

Sharing Our Magical Adventures
Must See Museums In Paris

Who We Are

I work in the health care field and Raun works for an engineering firm.  We started our travel journey 10 years ago planning a trip for our anniversary.  We wanted to do something special that year, so we planned a trip for 10 days in Belgium, Paris and Cognac to celebrate. I added Cognac as a special treat for Raun.  The man loves a good cognac!

That trip ignited our love for traveling and savoring the experiences. Since that trip we were inspired to continue to travel and search for new adventures.

In the early stages we discovered that creating our own itineraries, instead of relying on others worked best for us. We continue to create our own itineraries, but love how spontaneity can add to the magic of the adventure. We started this blog to share our experiences, highlight delicious dining spots and the tips we have learned along the way.

Happy traveling!

What People Say:

Savor the Adventures is truly one of the most exciting travel websites I’ve come across! Every time I open the website, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement as I dive into the latest adventures and stories. The content is authentic, engaging, and written in a way that makes you feel as though you’re experiencing the journey right alongside the traveler.

The website is beautifully designed and incredibly easy to navigate. The photographs are absolutely stunning—vibrant, colorful, and breathtaking. They capture the beauty of each destination and inspire you to start planning your next adventure.

What I appreciate most is the genuine and detailed travel information. The recommendations, insights, and personal experiences are so well-written that you can almost feel yourself standing in those locations. As I begin planning my upcoming trip to Paris, I know I’ll be returning to Savor the Adventures for inspiration and guidance on the best places to visit and experience.

If you love travel, adventure, and authentic storytelling, Savor the Adventures is a must-read. Highly recommended!

I opened the Savor the Adventures website and scrolled through as I do with many sites. What lovely pictures. I returned to the beginning and couldn’t help but read through the descriptions; they brought the pages to life. The ease navigating through the site was well thought out. Having a tried and true itinerary is going to make vacation planning easy.

I must say your blog is a treasure trove of information that anyone who is thinking of international travel would find it so useful and informative, they wouldn’t need a guide or a travel agent! It is a breeze to use and all of the photos simply enhance the words that not only give you suggestions but also offer precautions to avoid tourists’ mistakes or mishaps! My trip to Lisbon , Portugal is becoming a reality, and I intend to read every word you’ve written to ensure I don’t miss a thing! Thanks for your exceptional work in sharing your wonderful adventures!

When I open the page I immediately want to see what adventures await. Once I click that orange button, the pictures make me want to visit all the places and do all the things! Really, these are some really awesome photos.

This site is user friendly and gives pertinent information such as how long it takes to travel to and from places via different modes of transportation and key sights to visit in various locations. I can’t wait to visit some of these locations and make beautiful memories of my own.

Growing up I use to travel all of the time. Lately, it hasn’t been in the budget to travel as before. In 2024, I was diagnosed with breast Cancer,

that changed everything. I wanted to begin traveling again. However, I did not know where to begin.  After reading the many adventures Ms. Avanel D and her family have  taken and posted, I decided to step out on faith and travel. The Blog has so many tips and pointers of what to do and not to do. How to plan in advance, restaurants to visit and the list continues. Getting back into the swing of it all, Savor the Adventures has given me confidence to take the first step with traveling. The website is user friendly, the colors of the blog draw you into the story that is being told and makes me say, I wish I was there.
